The Sindh Education Department has officially confirmed that schools across the province will remain open on Tuesday, rejecting viral social media claims about a public holiday.
The clarification came after a fabricated notification began circulating online, falsely suggesting that all educational institutions in Karachi would be closed.
On Monday evening, several areas of Karachi experienced moderate to heavy rainfall. Earlier forecasts had also predicted intense showers and thunderstorms, raising concerns about possible urban flooding in the city.
