The Sindh Education Department has annulled the recent promotions that had elevated primary school teachers to high school teacher designations.
An official notification stated that the move came after a case was filed in the Sindh High Court, followed by directives from the School Education and Literacy Department.
Under the new order, teachers who were promoted earlier have been instructed to resume their original roles. Additionally, the department has mandated the recovery of all salaries and allowances received under the upgraded positions.
A formal letter has been circulated to all District Education Officers (DEOs) across Karachi to ensure implementation of the decision.
Just a few months back, these teachers had been advanced to high school positions before the reversal.
